The Stratos Chair came about through a search for a new and economically feasible implementation of a common material in the design of a folding chair. The early iterations of the Stratos were cut from nearly an entire sheet of ¾” plywood; the nesting and optimization of individual components has allowed the material waste and weight to be reduced. Currently the chair can be laser cut from a 55” x 23” sheet of ¾” material.
