Habana, Cuba in the Colon Neighborhood the existing buildings are decrepit and in need of demolition. While the urban grid holds true to the order of the city, a disruption is found and amplified through the introduction of a new housing typology and central public space. The degradation of the urban grid provides a moment for a new grain to emerge. Within this moment, new social and structural architectures provide a relief from the heat of the day and the decay that surrounds.
